Joint Manipulation & Mobilisation

Hands-on techniques that vary from gentle touches and stretching to more robust manipulation.

Deep Tissue & Sports Massage

Sports massage can help reduce the chance of injuries by improving flexibility with range of motion exercises. It can also be used to ease back, neck and shoulder pain, improve posture and help correct muscular imbalances.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the many skills employed within physiotherapy as part of an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation.

Exercise-Based Rehabilitation

This can range from simple stretches to a more comprehensive exercise programme designed to aid recovery as well as prevent injuries in the future.

Electrotherapy (e.g. Ultrasound)

This can help increase blood flow to the injured area to promote healing, reduce inflammation, decrease pain and break down scar tissue and adhesions.

Taping/Strapping

Taping and strapping techniques can help prevent injury as well as protect you from re-injury whilst returning to sport as well as provide compression to a recently injured joint.

Postural Assessment

Postural issues can often be attributed to lifestyle and working environments. Your physiotherapist will identify postural faults and use them as guidelines for identifying alterations in muscle and ligament length.

Core stability/Muscle Balance

Core exercises train the muscles in your pelvis, lower back, hips and abdomen to work in harmony. This leads to better balance and stability, whether on the playing field or in daily activities.
